The purpose of the Youth Advocacy Board is to give D.A.R.E. graduates, aged 14 - 16 an opportunity to speak on issues impacting the worldwide D.A.R.E. programme and to advise and support the development of Life Skills Education programmes and strategies beneficial to young people in the UK. In addition to the above, the YAB is a working board, engaging in letter writing and media response, as well as role modelling and speaking at D.A.R.E. functions within the UK.

Life Skills Education Charity are looking for new people to join our team. Are you enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of young people? Committed to reducing the harm caused by drug and alcohol abuse? Have an energetic approach to your work? If so this may be for you!
Your main role will be to deliver the 10 week primary curriculum to children in years 5 and 6 (9-11yrs old) at primary school, although there may be opportunities for work in secondary schools and other educational establishments. You will be based at home and required to work at various locations as directed. There will be no guaranteed hours of work.
The role requires a full UK driving licence and own vehicle and there will be remuneration for mileage incurred. Full training, corporate uniform, and equipment will be provided.

We at Life Skills Education Charity are looking for experienced leaders from business and the education fields to join our voluntary board of Directors. If you want to give something back to the community, young people, or simply keep active with like-minded people then we are interested in you. This can be fun and rewarding. We are a small organisation with big ambitions and would benefit from your expertise. A field that you are comfortable in and a team that are willing to go the extra mile to help young people set aside the lure of drugs and alcohol issues.
We would estimate the time commitment to be on average ½ a day per month or 6 days per year. Of course you are welcome to do more and we would welcome your contribution.
Expenses can be claimed for business related activities.
