Life Skill Education Charity is seeking to recruit additional staff who reside in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire areas to take on the role of ‘DARE Officer’. The successful candidates will be able to show that they are enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals who are able to work unsupervised, have an ability to engage young people and an enthusiasm for the work of prevention through education that draws on prior experience of dealing with Drug and Alcohol abuse among young people in the community, with some evidence of teaching, training, or coaching skills.
Your main role will be to deliver the 10 week primary curriculum to children in years 5 and 6 (9-11yrs old) at primary school, although there may be opportunities for work in secondary schools and other educational establishments. You will be based at home and required to work at various locations as directed. There will be no guaranteed hours of work. Work will be offered as and when available and the number of hours will differ from term to term.
All jobs at Life Skills Education require a full UK driving licence and own vehicle and there will be remuneration for mileage incurred. Full training, corporate uniform, and equipment will be provided.

A field that you are comfortable in and a team that are willing to go the extra mile to help young people set aside the lure of drugs and alcohol issues.
We would estimate the time commitment to be on average ½ a day per month or 6 days per year. Of course you are welcome to do more and we would welcome your contribution.
Expenses can be claimed for business related activities.
